The Jesmond Dene House Hotel is situated in a prime location with beautiful old house architecture, well-preserved and blending with newly constructed buildings. The grounds are well-kept and beautiful, despite being close to the main road. The interior ambience is spot on, with lounge and relaxing areas decorated beautifully and fireplaces making everything cosy and warm.
Service and Staff
The staff were generally friendly and attentive, with some reviewers mentioning brilliant service, especially from Thomas, who went out of his way to ensure they had everything they needed. However, others mentioned slow service, with one reviewer noting that the staff failed to notice that over half a plate of food was left untouched for more than 20 minutes. One reviewer also mentioned a lacklustre waiter who seemed disinterested and preoccupied with socialising with his co-workers.
