At Birkbees Nurseries, we pride ourselves on providing a unique and nurturing environment for children from birth to school age. Our family-run business consists of four day care centres in and around Huddersfield, each with its individual character but all maintaining the highest standards demanded by our owners, Maz and Tracey. Our goal is to work closely with parents to provide high-quality childcare that is accessible to all members of the community. We strive to offer flexible and affordable care, from birth to school age and beyond, ensuring happy children and relaxed parents.

That's why we endeavour to meet individual needs regarding childcare and appreciate that flexibility is often required. Our Nurseries

With four nurseries to choose from - Birkbees Day Care, First Class Nursery, Fixbees Nursery, and Nursery Rhymes Day Care - we're confident that we can find the perfect match for your little one.
Our Staff
Our staff team is our greatest asset. With over 100 staff across our four settings, we know a thing or two about what makes an exceptional practitioner. We're proud of our teams and support them to continue developing through regular training and mentoring. We also recognize the efforts of our staff by holding an Annual Award Evening, where we nominate and reward outstanding practitioners.
Our Facilities
All our nurseries provide friendly, secure, and safe places for your child to play and develop. We understand the importance of healthy eating and have achieved Food for Life accreditation. Our aim is to give each child the means to learn about food and form healthy eating habits, setting the foundations for their future. We also recognize the importance of outdoor learning and provide opportunities for children to explore and learn in our secure outdoor play areas.

We believe that communication is key. That's why we work closely with parents to build positive relationships, providing opportunities for you to be fully involved in your child's care and education. Our nursery management team is always available for support and advice, helping you navigate the challenges of raising a child.
