With a strong focus on childhood development and early learning, our staff are equipped to support children as they learn and grow. Our staff are constantly updating their skills and knowledge to ensure that children receive the best possible start in life.
Curriculum
At Bear Hugs Nursery, we offer a specially tailored curriculum within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) educational guidelines. This enables children to progress towards the early learning goals and prepares them for the National Curriculum, which begins at Year 1 in primary school. Our curriculum is designed to be fun and engaging, with a focus on early learning and development.
Registration
If you are interested in reserving a place for your child at Bear Hugs Nursery, you can register by filling out the registration form and either posting or emailing it to us. We also invite you to visit us to provide an opportunity for you and your child to look around the inside area of the setting and discover the vibrant outside garden area. During the visit, you and your child will have plenty of opportunities to explore the various activities provided daily for the children and to ask any questions you may have.
Ofsted Inspection
In January 2019, we were inspected by Ofsted and were delighted to receive a Good Ofsted inspection, with Outstanding in Personal Development, Behaviour and Welfare. The Ofsted report stated: "Children thrive in this highly stimulating nursery environment and display a strong sense of belonging." "Staff are very attentive, calm and listen to children respectfully." "Children are happy, confident and motivated to learn. They make good progress in their development and are well prepared for their future learning and school."
