Welcome to Minsterley Primary School, a successful and happy village primary school founded by the Marquess of Bath in 1843. Our school is built on a rich history of providing a positive, safe, and stimulating learning environment. We value all our pupils and encourage them to reach their full potential, become independent and confident life-long learners, and develop self-belief in their own abilities and achievements.
Our Ethos and Values
At Minsterley Primary School, we have three core values that are embedded throughout our school every day: to be ready, to be respectful, and to be safe. These values are reflected in everything we do, from the way we teach and learn to the way we interact with each other. We believe that these values are essential in helping our pupils develop into well-rounded individuals who are equipped to succeed in all aspects of life.
Our Facilities
Our school is proud of its beautiful and historic buildings, which have been a home for learning for over 170 years. Our facilities include modern classrooms, state-of-the-art technology, and excellent outdoor spaces. We also have excellent links with Minsterley Parish Church and our community nursery, which is located just next door.
History of the School
Minsterley Primary School has a long and proud history, dating back to 1843. Over the years, the school has grown and evolved, but our core values and commitment to providing a positive and stimulating learning environment have remained constant. We are proud of our heritage and are committed to continuing to provide an excellent education for our pupils.
Our Team
Our team of experienced and dedicated staff are passionate about education and committed to providing the best possible learning experience for our pupils. Our headteacher, Miss Katie Wilcox, is a passionate advocate for the school and is dedicated to ensuring that every pupil reaches their full potential. We also have a team of talented and dedicated teachers, teaching assistants, and support staff who work together to provide a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Learning at Minsterley Primary School
At Minsterley Primary School, we believe that learning is a lifelong process. We offer a broad and balanced curriculum that covers a range of subjects, including English, maths, science, and humanities. We also offer extracurricular activities and clubs, which provide pupils with the opportunity to develop new skills and interests.
British Values
As part of our curriculum, we teach our pupils about British values, including democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, and mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs. We believe that these values are essential in helping our pupils develop into well-rounded individuals who are equipped to succeed in all aspects of life.
Church Links
Although we are not a church school, we have excellent links with Minsterley Parish Church. We work closely with the church to provide opportunities for our pupils to learn about Christianity and other faiths, and to develop their spiritual and moral values.
Nursery
Our community nursery is located just next door to the school and provides high-quality care and education for children from 2-4 years old. Our nursery staff work closely with our school staff to ensure a smooth transition for children when they start school.
